Can I use photocopies of my Deed Poll to have my personal records amended, rather than sending out the original?

Ordinary photocopies of your Deed Poll are not usually accepted as suitable documentary evidence of your change of name. Copies can only be used if they have been certified.

The Name Change Company can supply you with certified copies of your Deed Poll, which you can order whilst applying for your Deed Poll. If you want to order certified copies after you have received your Deed Poll please use the order form that is enclosed with your Deed Poll kit.
