I have a holiday / honeymoon abroad booked in my current name but I want to change my name before I travel. What should I do?
A woman can have her passport amended to show her new married name up to three months before marriage. Civil partners can also have their passport amended to show their new name up to three months before a civil partnership ceremony. Please note that following the amendment it will not be possible to use the new passport until the day of the ceremony at the earliest.
You will need leaflet PD1, and form PD2. The person who will be conducting the ceremony will need to complete some details on form PD2 for you and provide his or her signature.

Please note that at the time of travelling the name on your travel documents must match the name in your passport (and driving licence if you are hiring a car).
